Au Char à Bancs A family-run farm-inn restaurant since 1971
The "Maison des Lamour" cottages and B&B are nestled in the heart of a peaceful valley through which flows the Leff river.
At the end of the path lined with beech and hazel, you will come upon our farm-inn restaurant "Au Char à Bancs".
The hotpot and sweet & savoury pancakes
The hotpot of Plélo is prepared with products from our farm : the vegetables and pork simmer for 4 hours in a hugh cauldron in the fireplace. We also serve sweet and savoury pancakes... and homemade apple juice and cider.
Opening hours of the restaurant :
- In July & August : everyday except Tuesdays
- From April to September : Friday night to Sunday lunch
- From October to April : Saturday night and Sunday lunch
- Closed in January
Summer afternoons
You can stroll in the valley, visit the vegetable garden, climb up the fort, take a poney ride or a trip on the pedal boats. In the valley around the mill, the cows and calves, the work horses and their fowls graze on the lush grass. The geese, turkeys, ducks, hens, cocks & the heron fill this gentle coountryside with life.
The bric-a-brac shop
Nestled in the basement of the 400 year old granite mill, the bric-a-brac shop called "Jeanne & cie" is full to the brim with old dishes like your grandmother had, tin utensils but also simple objects of life in the countryside, ae zinc jug or holy virgin statue, who watched over the home. There are also homemade products from Char à Bancs ( cider, honey, rhubarb jam...) and items of home and garden decoration, delicatessen products and many other treasures and gifts to offer or to treat yourself.
